What Is Pilates?
Pilates is a system of exercises developed by Joseph H. Pilates in England. Pilates begins by addressing the core musculature (abdominal, pelvic and back) thru specific exercises performed using eccentric contractions, which simultaneously lengthen and strengthen muscles. Amber Butler Amber Butler is the owner of Precision Pilates of Spokane, a Pilates studio devoted solely to teaching the discipline of Pilates. Her studio has been open since 2004 and during that time Amber has conducted private and group sessions for hundreds of students with a wide range of abilities.
